Thank Yous
Jul. 1st, 2013 11:34 amI wanted to thank everybody who sent me lovely birthday wishes last week. I wanted to thank you all personally, and I was planning to do it during the weekend, alas... the weekend has passed and I didn't get to it. *sadface* I'm really sorry.
But I'm also very happy so many of you remembered me and your words brought a true joy on this, as well as the next few days. I had a great time here with my family and friends, but your unwavering friendship was one more bright point for me. Thank You, Love You, HUGS. :)))

Sorry about that silly post on Saturday night. I'm fine, I just silently quit fandom et all. And yeah, I may be a little disappointed that nobody noticed, but other than being reminded for the upteenth time that I don't make friends (no, not even on the internet apparently), everything is good. Actually, better than good.
hugs and thanks for asking,
me

Oh, boy! I was bitten by a bunny. I'm writing a new H50 story and it's gonna be ... Well, I don't know if it will be epic or what, but I love it so much right now! :))) I've written almost 5k words over the weekend and I know they are a mess, but I'll beat them into submission. *grin*
This time I'm only going to post it when it's completed. I'm not saying what it's about right now, because work-work-work, but just wanted to share my excitement. Anyone excited with me? :)))

I'm writing, OMG, I'm writing!!!
I edited a p0rn Steve/Danno piece this morning and sent it to Beta and now I'm 1480 words into the prompt response that the prompter has probably already forgotten they made. OMG, OMG, exciting!
ETA: Aaaaaaand... Draft finished at 1974 words.
I know that nobody cares about what I write anyway, but I'm still going to spam you. ;p

Back ... at work
Jul. 30th, 2012 08:58 amI was away for five days, in the wilderness, no less. Vacation was ... exhausting. Especially girls. This time they really wore me out and I was so mad at them last night, when we finally got home, that I refused to speak to them at all. It lasted all of half an hour, then we talked. That's how strong my resolve is.
I'm still a little... I dunno. Does anyone have a simple recipe on dealing with eight- and eleven-years-old who constantly argue and keep saying they hate each-other? *sigh* Maybe they'll grow out of it.
Anyway. Just wanted to say, 'hello!'

Vacation - over
Jul. 11th, 2012 08:49 amMy little babies are coming back tomorrow!!! *eeeeee!!!*
I had such big plans, but I haven't written anything of those big things I wanted to write. I was going to some fitness though and I tried to do nothing at all. That worked all right. *grin* Gotta say I'm rested. And considering that it's still a month-and-a-half till school starts again for my monsters, I think it's all good.

Write-write-write
Jun. 18th, 2012 01:30 pmI think
sirona_gs posted that post announcing "Write All The Shit Week". I don't know, because I'm away from LJ, but I think it was her.
And, well, a while ago
saphirablue enccouraged her f-list to make a few posts celebrating Fandom. I wanted to do my own list of things I love about fandom, but never got to it, because... just because.
Well, let me say now -- THIS is why I love fandom, the "Write All The Shit Week" thing and all others like it. The support and encouragement we give to each other. See, I was stuck. I had to put writing "on a shelf" for a while, due to RL obligations and it wouldn't come back to me. It was coming but so-so-so slowly. Yesterday, I think I broke through somewhat.
Too bad that this breakthrough doesn't seem to be very Fandom-ish. ;) I mean I finished the draft version of "Riddle", I think, but the next project, the one that "demands" to be written now, is the original one. Oh, well, I gotta try it. For a while. I'm sure I'll fail as per usual and I'll be back with the Fandom in no-time, lol. I set aside two first weeks of July for it, when my girls will be on vacation. Keep your fingers crossed for me that it works. :)

(no subject)
May. 28th, 2012 09:26 amI'm exhausted. Didn't even have the energy to copy some pretty pictures of my little Communion girl, but I may do it later this week. Little girls all in white are so lovely. *sigh*
Five more days of White Week and I'll be done with all that Communion stuff. I think I'll sleep all next weekend.
I decided to quit all (both) the BB challenges I signed up for. There's no way I can keep the deadlines and I don't need any more stress right now. My writing plan till the end of school year is to finish Riddle, and then I don't know. Maybe I'll quit writing altogether. Maybe I'll start reading instead. *nods* Reading is good. And less tiring.
This was me, letting you know I did not vanish into thin air. Yet.

Hawaii on the Sun
May. 11th, 2012 11:44 amSpace Weather warns about imminent high-intensity solar flares, that may trigger planet-wide radio blackouts and long-lasting radiation storms. But also beautiful Auroras. :) In case you don't know -- they originate from low-temperature regions of intense magnetic activity, called sun-spots. Because of low temperature (low, ha! 3000-4500K), they are clearly visible against the surrounding hot (5500K+) matter.
This specific sun spot SW warns about now looks a lot like Hawaii. :D

Booooo. :(
May. 8th, 2012 11:01 amNew H50 epi didn't download before I had to go to work, so I can't watch it, probably until the evening. :((( At least I'm not tempted by spoilers. But I WANT TO SEEEEEE!!!!
Tell me, was it good? No details, just the overall feeling...
ETA: Oh, I can only respond to comments on Dreamwidth while I'm at work, but can read them all.
Also, thank you darlings for responding to my yesterday's request. *grin* I can't reply right now, but you put a big smile on my face. :D

Meme amnesty
May. 4th, 2012 08:37 amSince I discovered that x-posting from dreamwidth actually works, even though I don't have LJ access at work... I think I may try posting a little more now. :) For starters, I'm doing a meme-amnesty thing and revealing un-guessed favorite characters, as well as explaining why I liked whom. :)
( 17 favorite characters from my favorite shows )
Thank you guys for playing with me, It was FUN! :)

Snowflake Challenge, Day 1
Jan. 1st, 2012 10:26 pmIn your own space, post a rec for at least three fanworks that you have created. It can be your favorite fanworks that you've created, or fanworks you feel no one ever saw, or fanworks you say would define you as a creator. Drop a link to your post in the comments.
Alex O'Loughlin -- Elements -- I keep saying I'm a writer not an artist, but sometimes I do art too. That's my favorite set.
Stories are more difficult. I'd put "Choices and Chances" here, except that I private-locked it, because of wanting to turn it into original. :\
So ... That leaves me with ...
Nothing Dark -- an RPF J2-AU BigBang 2009. A story that I feel I can rec, because I put so much work into it, it has to be readable. Also, it was written in my self-discovery time, so it contains bits and pieces of me. There, I said it.
And mayhaps ...
Live in Torment if You Don't -- HF0 fanfic -- set post Season One finale. Why this one? Because it deals with mental breakdown and this is the thing I like to write about. I'm not sure of its quality, or rather, I know it could have been better, but I'm fond of it anyway. *shrug*
